Strawberry Moon Astrology

This year’s Full Strawberry Moon reaches peak illumination in Sagittarius (20 degrees) on June 11, 2025 at 3:44 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (1:44 a.m. Pacific or 8:44 a.m. in London).

As Mutable zodiac signs, Sagittarius and Gemini encourage us to be more flexible, adaptable, and open-minded. On a nature-based level, they signify the process of leaving one season behind to prepare for the next. Gemini transitions us into summer, while Sagittarius pushes us into winter.

Since they are on the same polarity, they rule similar themes: the mind and intellect, communication, travel, and our perception of the world. Gemini, an Air sign, turns our attention to people close to us—such as friends, neighbors, siblings, and acquaintances. Sagittarius, a Fire sign, brings our focus to those who are distant—such as relatives like aunts and uncles and even people who live afar.

Travel is a key theme for this polarity, as well as opening one’s perspective. For instance, Gemini aligns with short-distance travel and Sagittarius connects with all that is international or long-distance.

Since the distribution of information is particularly important to this duo, we learn slightly different lessons. Gemini encourages us to focus on our own ideas and communication skills, as well as learning, writing, and speaking. On the opposite end, Sagittarius is about grander learning, such as higher education, spirituality, or even media endeavors.

When it comes to astrological aspects coloring this time, we can see several. Generally, this should be a rather joyous full Moon. First and foremost, the full Moon is linked in a trine with Mars. This astrological angle of supreme harmony brings passion, sex appeal, courage, and excitement to our lives. We will be eager to charge after our desires and connect vibrantly in our relationships.

More distantly, the full Moon is opposite Jupiter, the planet of expansion, which will fill us with buoyant, optimistic, and charming energy. Lucky breakthroughs may manifest if we roll the dice. However, it’s not encouraged to go “too big” or we may feel we’ve gone beyond our means.

Jupiter, the planetary ruler of this lunation, experiences very mixed signals from the universe, though. While he is happily aligned with Mercury, bringing luck around communications, ideas, and travel, as well as with Mars, igniting our zest for life, he is directly square to both Saturn and Neptune. This foretells that in order to manifest the life we desire, we need to pivot our plans and understand that it is more useful to be practical, grounded, and realistic about our personal and professional progress. Otherwise we will very likely end up depleting our resources and living in a world of illusion and delusion. Practice moderation and build from a steady foundation and you could harness this cosmic flow in magnificent ways.
