Beloved annual publication will return to print with long-range weather forecasts, practical advice, folklore, calendars, and seasonal wisdom

We are thrilled to announce that Farmers’ Almanac will be publishing a print edition for 2027, continuing a tradition that began in 1818. The forthcoming book will mark the 210th edition of Farmers’ Almanac.

The announcement confirms that readers will once again be able to hold the familiar annual publication in their hands and turn to it throughout the year for long-range weather forecasts, calendars, practical advice, recipes, folklore, gardening guidance, astronomy, and seasonal information.

The 2027 Farmers’ Almanac will be the first edition produced under Farmers’ Almanac LLC, which acquired the company in January 2026. The new edition will preserve the publication’s distinctive voice and time-honored traditions while beginning a new chapter in its more than two-century history.

“The Farmers’ Almanac belongs in print,” said Editor Tim Konrad. “For generations, readers have kept it in their homes, carried it with them, written notes in its margins, and returned to it throughout the year. We are proud to announce that this tradition will continue with the publication of our 210th edition in 2027.”

“Snow, Sleet, and Surprises!” Ahead for Winter 2026–2027

At the center of the new print edition will be the Farmers’ Almanac long-range winter outlook, themed “Snow, Sleet, and Surprises!” The weather forecasts were produced by Caleb Weatherbee using the same secret weather formula the Farmers’ Almanac has been using for over 200 years.

A Return to the Classic Almanac Experience

The 2027 print edition will return Farmers’ Almanac to a traditional, distraction-free presentation. It will contain no advertising and will feature the familiar black-and-white appearance associated with historic editions.

Readers will find:

  • Long-range monthly and seasonal weather forecasts
  • Annual calendars and astronomical information
  • Household hints and practical advice
  • Recipes, folklore, humor, and “Philosofacts”
  • Weather safety and preparedness information
  • Gardening, nature, and seasonal planning guidance
  • Historical features reflecting early American life and traditions

“Our goal is to protect the character of Farmers’ Almanac, honor its history, and ensure that its knowledge remains useful and accessible for today’s readers,” Konrad said. “The 2027 print edition will celebrate everything readers have long valued while carrying the Almanac into its next era.”

The 2027 Farmers’ Almanac will be available beginning August 25th through retailers and online at FarmersAlmanac.com.
