7 Ways The Full Moon May Affect Your Health

Turns out, a full Moon can affect our physical well being in many ways. See what researchers discovered...

We’ve got a full Moon coming up! We often hear from our readers that the world goes a little off-kilter during this time—kids act up, people are more impatient, car accidents, and more. Even the word “lunatic” stems from the Latin word luna, meaning Moon, and there’s plenty of evidence to support that erratic behavior does occur in some people around the time of a full Moon. But can a full Moon also affect your physical well-being as well? We checked in with some experts on the topic.

7 Ways The Full Moon May Affect Your Health

Here are some interesting things researchers have found regarding the full Moon and its effects on your health.

1. Heart

Can the Moon’s cycles have an effect on your heart? Apparently so, but not in the romantic sense. A study published in the Indian Journal of Basic and Applied Medical Research found that when exercising, your heart is at its peak performance during a full and new Moon. So check the phases of the Moon before hitting the gym!

2. Brain

Much like the Moon is responsible for the ebb and flow of tides, because our brains are a significant source of water, Dutch researchers hypothesize the Moon’s gravitational pull could similarly have an effect on your brain, causing erratic behavior. Read: Do Full Moons Make People Crazy?

Other studies by British scientists reveal that a full Moon may actually decrease seizure activity in epileptics. In these cases, however, researchers suggest it may be due to the brightness of the Moon rather than its phases. When the Moon was bright, participants had fewer epileptic seizures. They attribute this to the hormone melatonin, which is naturally secreted in your brain when the Sun goes down, hence signaling it’s time to sleep. In epileptics, they surmise, the brightness of the full Moon counters this release, thus decreasing seizures.

We also hear from our Facebook fans all the time: complaints of headaches and migraines around the time of the full Moon. While no scientific correlation is made between migraines and the full Moon, full Moons can disrupt sleep (see #4) which, in turn, disrupts hormone levels, thus triggering headaches.

3. Kidneys

doctors looking at xrays

A 2011 study published in the Journal of Urology found that kidney stone pain increased significantly during a full Moon. And in another study, English researches found that generally, more patients were admitted to hospitals with urological emergencies during this time, too. Conversely, the new Moon caused a “calming effect” for people with these conditions.

Coincidence? Maybe not. One theory behind these conclusions is that the kidneys, like other organs and the human body itself, are made up of about 60 percent water, and just as lunar activity can affect our oceans, creating powerful and predictable tides, the Moon may affect the workings of these organs, causing a noticeable ebb and flow in times of calm and pain. Not all researchers agree, but there is enough evidence that additional studies are in the works.

4. Sleep

Calm and peaceful woman sleeping in bed in dark bedroom. Lady asleep at home in the middle of the night. Pillow, blanket and moonlight.

A 2013 study published in Current Biology reviewed the sleep patterns of participants over three days in which they were allowed to fall asleep at will in a controlled area that had neither clocks nor outside light. When the data was compared to the phases of the Moon, researchers determined participants not only had lower melatonin levels during bright Moon phases, but they also took 5 minutes longer to fall asleep, slept 20 minutes less in general, and had 30 percent less REM sleep. And if you’re not getting enough sleep, your health suffers. Try these tricks to get a good night’s sleep!

5. Menstrual Cycle

A woman’s average menstrual cycle is 28 days, which is quite similar to the 29+ day lunar cycle. This timing may be more than coincidence according to Chinese researchers who discovered that almost 30 percent of all the women monitored ovulated at the full Moon and menstruated during the new Moon. In some cultures, there is even a name for this phenomenon, called White Moon Cycle, which essentially mirrors the fertility of the Earth which is said to be most fertile under full moonlight.

6. Birthrate

Japanese researchers discovered something interesting: there was a significant increase in the number of births when the gravitation of the Moon to the Earth was most powerful. While researchers admit they are still unclear on exactly how or why this relationship exists, they say it might help healthcare professionals and pregnant women better prepare.

Additionally, one Italian study examined more than 1,200 births over three years and found a higher number of babies born in the two days after a full Moon.

7. Injuries

Since the full Moon can affect our behavior in certain ways, it should come as no surprise that we are more prone to accidents or illness during this time, according to some. One 2011 study published in World Journal of Surgery found that over 40 percent of medical personnel believe in “Full Moon Madness” among patients. It was also revealed that emergency calls for all sorts of conditions actually increases by 3 percent whenever there’s a full Moon, and then drops by 6 percent during a new Moon.

In 2008 British researchers found a link between the lunar cycle and what doctors call “medically unexplained stroke symptoms,” where patients develop complaints such as headaches, numbness and coordination issues but have nothing physically wrong with them.

I am already feeling the effects of the full moon 10/20. Fatigue, brain fog, no appetite. So glad to see I’m not losing my mind. I’m finding myself more moon sensitive as I age. This is something else.

I read somewhere that the full moon pushes the troposphere down which increases the level of poitive ions in the atmosphere. The full moon increases positive ion ratios, which accounts for the strange and aggressive behavior noted by police and medical services. Studies show that 75% of the population is noticeably and adversely affected by positive ion ratios, while increased negative ions tend to have a calming influence on these same people. The effects of alcohol are increased. In some Europeon countries the do no perform surgery during full moon unless the have negative Ion generaters in the hospital. Negative Ions from waterfalls effect some with a calming euforic feeling

Is anyone here affected by the balsamic /new moon? My cfs/fibromyalgia/emotions flare a lot!

Yes I was hoping someone else could tell and I wasn’t crazy!! I have Lyme Disease and the moon effects me big time! Today I just don’t feel good and I dizzy.

Ive been extra dizzy too and the barometric pressure is super high! New moon in a few hours EST 🌑

It’s a full moon today September 20 and I just can’t sleep even though I’m yawning nonstop and this partial right side headache won’t go away but I know I’ll be like new once the full moon is over.

Toni starbuck

I too have similar issues, my hands go numb, I’m very tired throughout this time as well as intuitive. Often of balance and yes quick to anger.

I always find the information shared in your feature stories about natural phenomena fascinating. The articles on the Harvest Moon and how the moon affects your health were no exceptions. Thank you ☮️

Mike Ohlinger

Yes the full moon affects stability in my health usually 2 days before n after a full moon. Thanks for asking n good data.

I always get I’ll leading up to the full moon, irregular heart beats, bloating and feeling strange and disoriented,it’s terrifying,I dread it every full and new moon

Lila Cothran Campbell

I’m sorry you get this but happy to have found some company in this ;-/! Are you a Cancer by any chance? Has this been going on long time for you?

I’m a cancer and it happens to me every single full moon but different some full moons are headache numbness some are full of energy wanting to go out and do everything but not today September 20.2021 I feel like dying

Days before a full moon I’ve noticed my panic attacks and anxiety are insane. Dizzy feel ill. Does anybody else get this way days before ??! And how do you cope ? TIA

Yes, me to,it’s awful,and it’s twice a month

Lila Cothran Campbell

YES! Not anxiety as much as physical symptoms – weak, irregular heartbeat, disoriented, dizzy, headaches, sore throat, slight fever – with full moon and sometimes with new moon. Sooooo over it. No doctor believes it so far. Just tonight had to cancel plans to go to a fun party.

This is exactly how I feel. I thought I had COVID. Went to ER. All bliss work, ekg, urine sample, chest exams came back good. They said it was attributed to vertigo because I experience dizziness, like disoriented, left side heavy, I’m confused and everything feels heavy. My ears are constantly popping and just feel weird in the head. Is this common and what have been the go to’s during this time. Will this go away!

I almost hate the full moons they affect my mood so much sometimes it is hard to function. Is there a way to deal with this?

I hate full moons. They depress me. Also very irritated and feel down all the time until the full moon passes. I went to an astrologer one time, she told me because I have so much Capricorn in me I will be affected always. Any suggestions?

Definitely I’m not right when it’s full moon, memory loss, fatigue, guilt for not being on the ball, and menastual cycle and when it’s at its peak, wake up at 3/4 am and not getting back to sleep.

Moe Martinez-Mortera

My sister and I woke up with our feet, and hands swollen! I had a headache on my left side like something was being pulled. Also a pain in my left leg, at times tingling like my foot had felt a sleep! Is this something someone else has experienced?

Emily Fenech

I will be awake for hours around the time of the full moon even though I have increased the medication which helps me to sleep. Also I have rashes and around the time of the full moon these become intense and really prevent me from sleeping.

Tannis Clark

My adrenaline goes crazy with full moon very aggitated

Joyce Benedict

If anyone has had pets their activity at new and full moon is legendary. Dogs, cats, have all disappeared or been wounded at these times. I lay awake for hours at full moon time. New moon is no picnic either for health issues to be more annoying. Foods eaten at restaurants do not taste the same for me. I never eat out at those times. Both full grown sons confirm after years noticing as I have. There are magnetic fields that are altered. Our body, foods made up of cells, energy, etc.
As an Astrologer who has observed human behavior for over 45 years, no doubt in my mind “there is a time for everything”.
I believe the lunar cycle plays a role in producing an extra egg based on position of degrees in a woman’s natal chart between her sun and moon. If 144 degrees in her pattern then each month that moon/sun in the heavens reaches 144 degrees and an extra egg is released. This accounts for many pregnancies supposed to not occur. When accurately calculated, that time frame of 3 days can be used as a time to conceive if wanted, or an avoidance of sex. Accounts why many women have conceived night before period or during period. This system studied by Egyptians, a German Gynecologist studied it with her patients, I used myself and for clients.
We are ‘children of the Universe’ and the more people study cosmic cycles they would better understand many facets of their behavior.
A successful dinner party? Moon in fire or air. Bought an item of clothing you regretted days later? You succumbed to the powerful energy of a moon in a sign contrary to your own energy field? Were the ancient gardeners wrong about what to plant when? No. Stands to reason we as humans need to learn about cosmic cycles to cooperate with them. Some of the worst wars, assassinations, violent outbreaks occur with planets in Aries. There were 4 in Aries at one point recently. Remember shootings after shootings, after shooting? Happily married but magnetically drawn to another and ‘almost’ gave in or did? Venus or Mars activating departments associated with sex, hidden activities. There is a better time to conceive to avoid complications or birth defects.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-15.

Your comments were so interesting. Going to further look into it.

Hi I am Mumtaj fm India. I have migraine last 20 or more years. But I have experience that migraine pain more powerful on full moon or new moon cyclic time.

Last edited 6 months ago by Mumtaj

omg Same.. Its killing me for 2 days now

Intestinal parasites are most active during the full moon when melatonin is low and seratonin is high. There is a lot of information on line about this that some people with unexplained physical and mental symptoms may want to investigate. Doing a parasite cleanse during these times may relieve symptoms.

Oh yes! Thank you for poiting this out. Most of the complains people is attributing to the moon alone is due to the active phase of the parasites…the sleep and anxiety are just a couple of them. So the cleanse could be what eradicate the symptoms. But it must be done a few times cause these little creatures left the eggs and the cycle will start again.

Mr. S. from MA

Omg, must be true. My injury occured on a full moon day. Happened long ago & I still remembered the date. I looked it up.

janine mckee

Hi I have arthritis and fibromyalgia among other illnesses and just before the full moon every single month my pain increases I get headaches I wee a lot more and I cannot sleep im more tired irritable and sensitive during this time I kept a diary for a yr it was the same every single month I run a fibromyalgia group and I’m not the only person This happens too xx

Lynn Campbell

Thanks for sharing this info in relation to fibromyalgia. I notice that my fibro flares around full and new moon it also makes my anxiety levels go through the roof. It’s a relief to see I’m not going mad and others suffer similar issues too

I got osteoarthritis, and a few days before full or new moon it gets much worse, anything wrong in the body gets much worse at full moon, the moon emphasizes it,I try to relax and use lavender oil to inhale and drops of (rescue remedy drops) these help a bit

Any chance of getting a link to your fibromyalgia group? I have had it since 1997. But have learn what helps me deal with it.

The pain thing happens to me too. My jaw starts tightening, teeth have that weird shivery sensation (especially the lower jaw). My head hurts and I have a full body pain, despite there being no existing medical conditions or bone disease.

This has been happening to me since birth. I have experienced pain since as long as I can remember. And it becomes worse at night.

Family went to a doctor when I was a child and the doctor said that since I was getting too tall too fast for my age, I was experiencing growth pains.

I am almost 27 years now and still haven’t stopped getting these growth pains. I am still unable to sleep at night due to being in pain.

I know that this overwhelming growth pain happens during full moon, but this has become such a common occurrence for me that I have stopped keeping tabs on the lunar calendar. My body tells me when it’s time for the coming of the full moon.

As for erratic behaviours and strains in family conditions, I wouldn’t know. I have started living away from my family as soon as I turned 18 so that they don’t have to witness me going through this every month. I don’t like being pitied.

Pain killers do help dull the pain but I now have to take larger doses as my body has started to build immunity to pain killers. Also, if I take too large a dose then the medicine simply knocks me out and I am then unable to work at all. Alcohol does not help. AT. ALL. It just worsens everything as it gives the worst of hangovers. So basically, if I have to work during full moons, then I simply endure the pain. Also, if I am lying down, I’ve found that not moving and not clenching any muscles makes enduring the pain easier. Tightening your muscles will only make it worse. I can’t even smile or raise my eyebrows at times as that causes my face muscles to start paining and that just adds to my existing headache.

Also, since the pain becomes worse at night, I have taken to sleep during the day. Eventually, I have realised that working during nights is easier than day as I feel drowsy during daytime.

Also, I feel somehow this has shaped my body structure in some ways as I do have a high metabolism and I don’t accumulate fat even though I don’t do any kind of excercise (Think in terms of a couch potato). And this is helpful for me because I tend to eat a lot as I get hungry very fast.

Hope this helps any “Moon-peoples” who are looking for help.

We share the same fate during the full moon. The least I can do is stand by them.

I do understand where people get the legends about “people who turn into something else during full moons”. Funnily though, I’ve never turned into a wolf!

May be seizures, but there is help.. my wife had (has, but we don’t claim them) 3 types of seizures.. this might be Catamenial epilepsy (CE), also known as menstrual seizures, is linked to a woman’s menstrual cycle and related hormone levels in the body. Women with CE often have more seizures during certain times of their cycle. By God’s Grace, eating healthy, washing foods, and staying away from plastic amongst other things..
Most importantly, JESUS SAVES! Praying For You S.J. If He brought you to it, He’ll bring you through it.

Book guys

It gives me really bad gas back pain

For me when the moon is waning crescent or waxing crescent everything is in chaos and strange energy. I am clumsy, hyper, easily aggravated, and things seem to just fly out of my hands, etc. I do not look forward to moon cycle under crescent moon and I have found NOTHING at all anywhere to explain why this phase is so intense for me.

Hey Marie, I work alot with the moon phases on a spiritual healing level. I have being doing this for over two years however I have been doing shadow work and self-work for nearly 10 years. Basically self-improvement through looking at what makes me unhappy, letting go of the past and being aware that I create my reality through my thoughts and feelings. I have also noticed the same thing as you but with the new and full moon phases and in my experience you won’t find anything that can explain to you exactly why it happens that way to you. I can try and help you though. The waning crescent is when the moon is getting smaller towards new moon so maybe it’s asking you to look for new ways of doing certain things in your life. As for the waxing crescent, that is heading towards full moon so it may be asking you to release old ways. Do you see the link there? The moon is associated with our emotions and subsconscious and the phases of the moon shine a light on what we need to work on within ourselves and that is why you won’t find anything about this becasue it is so unique to each person. My advice is to journal your thoughts and feelings and notice when you are triggered. The more you tune into this energy, the more self-aware you become of your actual thought patterns at this time and what exactly is going through your head and you will know instinctually what you need to do in a new way and what needs to be released from your life. Also remember that it is not only things outside of us that we need to work on, we also become aware of our own negative repetitive thought patterns and their root cause; eg family karma, trauma, outdated beliefs, unhealthy habits and behaviours, you get my drift! When we try and avoid these things we get triggered more easily. That is why I love the moon, it helps me to work on whatever is coming up at that time. It is impossible to work on everything at the same time, its a journey not a race so just take one day at a time and you will be just fine. 🙂

During the full moon I get very crabby ridiculous things happen to me a lot to irritate me during the full moon, such as going out and getting cold food instead of it arriving at our restaurant table hot, hubby will drive unsafely a s I get upset. The full moon seems to bring me bad luck. It has never failed

Amina kishk

I experience more over all body pain in the fluxuationsnof the moon phases….even if not keeping track of moons I feel my body hurting more so during full, dark , and half moons and less sleep and mood changes.. it is every month so predictable and I wish it would stop…and I see my family acting out when moons are dark or full or in half moon…..

tanya baker

I have the same problem with body pain. This super moon phase it’s unbearable. What have you tried to lessen the pain. I’ve tried, hot baths, Curcumin, red light therapy and yin yoga. Would love to hear what works for other’s

Louise Jake's

Oh god it makes my heart go so fast I cant lay down or sit it’s so horrible 🙁

Really glad to say that your article is very useful to me. I study astrology with and such articles help me better understand it. Thank you for explaining in such detail how the moon cycles affect us.

Lisa Rainer

Hi, I saw your article in The Farmers Almanac, and last night was the”Strawberry Moon” as well. So I had just explained to my son how every full moon, my head would have a strange pulling sensation. So I just thought I would comment about that. Lisa

My fingernails are always affected–they break or split or just generally fall apart and need to be cut short

My wife worked at an ice cream store and in the days of a full moon crazed people would consume great amounts of chocolate, never failed on full moon. Police have more arrests.

I never knew Epileptic is an outdated term and I’m sure the majority people don’t realize either. I also never associated epilepsy with a person being developmentally disabled and have always hated the word retarded! I have a friend who’s daughter has suffered so bad from Epilepsy requiring several surgeries in the past few years and has always referred to her as being Epileptic. Never implying any other myths or connotations. I’m sorry if you’ve encountered people in your life that made you feel like this. Society is cruel! I’m Thankful that you’ve been seizure free for 20 years. Sadly my dog suffers from seizures and it’s scary to watch. (Not that I’m comparing you to my dog) but it breaks my heart.

Laura Dziadyk

I’ve worked with the public for 30+ years and have definitely experienced a difference in my customers when the moon is full. I also have a child that went through what we at the time called “episodes” and ironically when I started documenting them they consistently happened when the moon was full. So I don’t believe there’s no truth in it.

My jaw always acts up before the full moon, usually 1-2 days before. It’s a tight jaw squeezing feeling and than annoying sensation. Always happens before full moon than goes away about 1-2 days after. This started happening since 2019.

Amina kishk

Yes, I feel and experience the 2 day lag happenings on body pain and unrest in my marriage 2 days before a moon is full and 2 days after, and it lasts a full week til I feel normal and at rest and calmer….

Yes, that timing is exactly the timing I become full body inflamed and must pay low for 2 to 4 days

Dr. Barb Tremlett

I find that the day before a full moon until 2 to 3 days after a full moon I have headaches. This full moon in April has affected me more than the usual and I am having more issues focusing.

I thought I was going crazy until I started seeing patterns of symptoms! Wow hey?!

Amina kishk

I keep a calandra notes on my wall callendar that has the moons on the calendar, it helps to find the culprit mood swings and less sleep areas and the unusual happenings in life during those days….and to understand why I flew off the handle due to u usual goings on during that times
Ike marital unrest with key people…and with family members even friends…

I’m struggling with headaches as well today, which is slated as the last Supermoon of 2020.

Amina kishk

Headache diary is the Fuller moons or the dark moon…half moons… even events in family and news and body aches and pains and way less sleep…

Iris Detenhoff

I too tend to headaches at some Full Moons and actually use my Moontime Diary to avoid appointments on these days. This Full Moon last April was a super moon, which means it was closest to the earth and it’s gravity stronger…

Amina kishk

Even doctore appointments will be more challenging at fuller moon and at dark moon even half moon, I recommend praying before ever going to see any doctor at all and prayer in advance to it by a week ahead…ash for the most best outcome of the dr. visit…avoid all unhealthy foods and take correct meds before seeing a doctor…know that God has you and he cares more than doctors can….

Amina kishk

Yes, take a redid and stop communications with people during those special days…have remedy on hand, take headach remedy soon as you feel a headache coming on as it goes away sooner that way…arrange for quiet and calm senecio at home or work….add magnesium supplement to those days, I notice it as tension mounts and we have a blood up heightened arguments on those days….and children act up and unusual events take place…

Dianna Woods

Agreed. Headaches. Pressure. Have taken magnesium for years, but during a full moon, it doesn’t help me fall asleep as usual.

Is it possible to wake up with pain because of the moon being out? It only happens when the moon is out . so I guess my question is what is going. On and is there a name Fort it?

Amina kishk

Moon Rhythm ?body pain moon rhythm …take medications and pain relievers soon as you feel discomfort … I use tumeric powder and ginger powder with a dash of black pepper and drink it down and pain goes away… but headache needs Anicin at least for me, magnesium calms headache and use the med, with it..I plan less emotional, people to be around me at those times, avoiding mother in law…or hyper prone friends…and a baby sitter you can Trust at those times… relax and do less work…

Rosemary Ramirez

I’m rosemary and I read on some of y’all stories and I been feel noxious and I lay down hoping it would go away and nothing and I been really sentimental and crying … Can it be the fool mood doing this to me I’m a Aquarius

Amina kishk

if I cry it creates a migrain for me , so I avoid crying…I keep a moon journal and prayer journal, I pray and believe and it all sorts out to my advantage thank God ! Art work helps me or dance, or music or relaxing healing music on you tube…staying away from hyper friends, less work, easy ways, better diet ,

Noxious?? And “fool moon”??

Amina kishk

nausea .. take a mild nausea tablet ask dr, for some, and at stores…

Amina kishk

Mood swings happen to me whether I notice the moon phase or not, Imthen look at calendar and there it is … a full moon … each time…or an approaching moon or one that just came to be, non sleep, mood changes, people become in yer face with their own disruptions, more body pains, no energy and weird thoughts, somI get up and work instead of trying to sleep as sleep,is so not well or good , then…

As a child when i would misbehave and my mum got impatient with me, my gran would always say “millie, leave her alone, its a full moon” i never thought about that til i was an adult, altho i was grateful that she told my mum to leave me alone lol – i am 82 now and have been tortured and exhilarated by the moon all my life – i don’t have to look at the sky to know when its new – i become so clever i scare myself – when its full i can count on being clumsy, tired and restless all at the same time – and thank the lord when its over and i can stop eating chocolate and wear my size 14’s again – i pray that if i’m to live another life i come back on a planet that has no moon!!!

Amina kishk

Yes, prayer helps ask God anything and he will deliver, just believe…pamper y
Ur self at those times, do art work hobby or dance …you cannot think while doing those …it takes you away ! Then you did an art work to sell or a dance that relaxes and energizes you ! Mood changes at those times are not your fault as the moon manipulates us at those times, my husband and zimargue more on those moon events …he denies he has a moon happening but I know it and it happens regular as clock work….he doesn’t care…

D. Smith

Can anyone tell me how to go about looking up what phase the moon was in when my kids were born back in the mid 1970’s to the latter 1980’s?? Is there a chart somewhere?

Thanks for any help or information.

Amina kishk

Yes !

Amina kishk

Search bar.. ask for past moon phases even a specific month and year…

Worked newborn nursery for years and we all noticed the increase in births during full moon. The going joke was the light must draw them out!
I too notice a distinct difference in my own behavior during and several days before and after full moon.Seems to heighten all moods whether happy or irritable. When odd things occur I look at the calendar and sure enough it’s full moon time.
Try always to catch the sight of them as the beauty is irresistible and magical.

Jeanette E Burton

Laura and all– You worked the beginning cycle of life, while I worked the ending cycle. I was charge nurse in nursing homes over the years until retirement and I can validate what you say. However people living their golden years often are still mentally OK, and usually continent, but when the moon was full the mentally stable ones would become confused and totally out of character. The continent ones most often became incontinent. I was working at a time on the 11 PM to 7AM shift and we would see lots of change. I will stop now but could go on and on with the out of character changes. Folks with dementia would worsen as well and we would have quite trying nights on a full moon!! Anyone who thinks it is all an old wives tale should walk a few miles in a nurses shoes, they would soon have a mind change!

Amina kishk

I agree…..

Amina kishk

Yes, moons are a ruthenium and can be planed for and avoid hyper people and situations at those times, I use calming healing sounds and music , art work or hobby or dancing helps…

Louis J Apa

I do enjoy a bright, full moon as it is a confirmation of an intelligent maker! ….

Amina kishk

Yes, it is a caution, a learning tool a Warner, a lovely thing to behold in the sky…a lamp if it is bright enough….

Dee Woods

I don’t know about astrology, but when I had my tonsils out, it was during a full moon and the doctors told me they couldn’t stop the bleeding. My friend mentioned the full moon may have had something to do with it. Ij would never chose a surgery then. I also remember during my periods, they were worse during a full moon. Anecdotal, but I pay attention now.

Amina kishk

Yes, dr. Appointments on full moons, I cancel…and any surgery, too…

Erin Corbit

I believe it! Yesterday, I went to my mom and dads for lunch and not even thinking about it, when I left, I went to the car, opened the door and realized that I was trying to get into my moms car! Then after work yesterday, I ALWAYS pick my girls up at the daycare, but somehow yesterday, I just drove right past it like I was just going to go home then realized I still had to pick up the girls! And I NEVER FORGET. I thought it was funny! Thought I’d share my stupid day!

Amina kishk

I agree…..

Pretty sure that had nothing to do with the moon being full!

Amina kishk

Yes, unusual happenings happen more so on those days, unusual news items , death in the family or one that is significant to you ….or more money happend but argument happens ! Un usual things….

Work in Law Enforcement 20 yrs and The Full Moon and the New Moon rumors are true.
Check logs calls at enforcements centers and hospitals and ask any emergency personal and then make up your mind.

Amina kishk

I worked in a nursing home it was truly heightened at full moons and new ones that more hyper things happened at those times…

Not scientifically verified, but acutely noticed by my mother, a former hospice office coordinator: During full moon phases, more patients passed then at other times of each month.

Amina kishk

I agree…. I found my best frien dead on her kitchen floor during that moon phase and she mentioned of anxiety that day…

I have been noticing from years that I’ve always loved to see the full moon. Recently I started feeling that it really effects on epilepsy seizures and that’s not unsure. Someone plz share how we can get control on seizures during full moon. I found YOGA exercises helps so much.

Amina kishk

It’s interesting how people getting deceived from internet articles. There is no a single research that has passed peer review. Probably are the same people that believe in astrology and other pseudosciences. Anyone who is interesting can study same basic physics (fluid mechanics etc.)

I am a girl of science and totally believe the studies regarding the bodies internal “tide”. The moon affects the earths tides and since we are predominantly water with a significant amount in our craniums (cerebral fluid etc) why wouldn’t it stand to reason that people and their body chemistry might be affected during a full moon? My MIL is the overnight charged nurse in a Psych hospital. She confirmed that the majority of her patients experience more psychological psychotic issues (with increased intakes) during the days leading up to and during the full moon.

You really should be more open minded.

There are a lot of idiots who don’t believe in moon issues, they are complete fools,I know 100% that the moon does affect many people, and I certainly am one of them

I know by experience there are 2 kinds of folks, those knowing and those who use logic or a research to un notice the on going moon phases that happen to every human and animal on the earth…some are more sensitive to it and can have others notice , and I retried to not notice the moons and then get the moon body pains and emotional turmoils at only those times, and events flow out into the fuller moons and dark moon times…even if I do not have a Callander….
