  Fair but bitterly cold.

  Cold temperatures, clear skies.

• Northwest U.S.

  Bitter temperatures, clear skies.

• Southwest U.S.

  Clear but chilly.

Canada

Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario

• Newfoundland, Labrador

  Moderating temperatures along the coast. Western areas may see some snow squalls.

• Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec

  Mild air reaches southern Nova Scotia. Interior Quebec turns sharply colder with blowing snow.

• Ontario

  Mild conditions for southern and eastern areas, with gusty winds and scattered snow squalls. Western Ontario may see brief thaws.

• Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan

  Milder temperatures southwestern Alberta, bring above-normal temperatures and melting snow to Calgary and the foothills. Central Manitoba sees snow squalls and gusty winds.

• British Columbia

  A brief warming trend in southern areas, with milder temperatures and scattered showers. Light snow northern areas.
