The Flower Moon will reach peak illumination on May 23, 2024, at 9:53 a.m. Eastern (though you may feel its intensity up to three days before and after this time). Astrologically, the full Moon will occur in Sagittarius (2 degrees). Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign known for self-expression.

May’s Moon becomes fully illuminated while the Sun is in Gemini (May 21-June 20). Sagittarius and Gemini are opposites on the zodiac wheel but encompass similar themes: intelligence, perception, communication, and travel.

Gemini resonates with your close circle of friends, neighbors, siblings, and acquaintances whereas Sagittarius aligns with more distant relatives such as aunts, uncles, cousins, and even people who live far away.
