Astrologically, the full Moon will occur at 4 degrees of Scorpio. Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac—a mutable water sign. According to astrology, Scorpio is a mysterious and powerful zodiac sign ruled by the planets Pluto and Mars.

Because the mighty Sun will be roaring through the fields of Taurus (April 20-May 20), the full Moon happens in the opposite zodiac sign on the polarity—Scorpio. This axis within the zodiac relates to resources, like income, assets, or investments, but also power, sex, and desire.

Taurus aligns with the material world and your physicality, whereas Scorpio uncovers hidden depths. Full Moons in Scorpio tend to make us face the shadow self, as well as the issues of control, power, death, and transformation.

Often, you need to release something valuable to you to advance to the next stage in life. So, in many ways, Scorpio energy is like a phoenix—mythical birds of fire reborn from ashes to ascend anew.
