Gift Mitt Ideas For the Holidays

1 The Kitchen Gift Mitt
Purchase a deep oven mitt or a pair to match the recipient’s kitchen colors or go with a holiday theme. Every cook needs to replace kitchen tools from time-to-time. Fill a lovely oven mitt with spices, zester, kitchen towel, vegetable brush, vegetable peeler or scrubber, measuring spoons, wooden spoons, knives, etc. to pleasantly surprise your culinary king or queen. Or if you know someone who loves to bake, load oven mitts with cookie cutters, wooden spoons, batter scrapers, tea towels, and more!

2. The Barbecue Mitt
Pack a hefty pair of barbecue mitts with grilling supplies: apron, tongs, marinades, sauces, spices, recipes, etc. for your favorite grill master.

2. Gardening Gloves
Although gardening gloves aren’t deep, there should be room inside for a hand tool, seed packages, gardeners’ soap and hand or cuticle conditioner, a copy of the Farmers’ Almanac (of course!), and a gift certificate from their favorite gardening center. Secure a beautiful bow and it’s good to go!

From tools to seed packets, there are so many gift ideas for gardeners!

3. Bath Mitts
While on the subject of soaps and creams, don’t forget the bath. Who doesn’t enjoy soaking in a warm, fragrant and soothing bath? Give your loved one a DIY spa treatment. Fill an inexpensive bath mitt with scented bath salts, soaps, lotions, and body butter. Add a gift certificate for a massage or a spa day to complete the pampered mitt.

4. Winter Mittens
Winter winds chap lips and dry the skin. Pack a colorful pair of new mittens with lip balm, face and hand cream, nail polish, and a manicure kit.

Leather Gloves
Don’t forget the handsome man on your list! Stuff a pair of leather driving gloves with aftershave, beard trimmer, beard oil, razor, lip balm, nail clippers, hand cream, wristwatch, and theater tickets. The woman on your gift lists would love a pair of new gloves stuffed with a shiny bracelet or watch, perfume, hand cream, and symphony tickets—get creative!

All Through the House
If he or she’s been really good this year, go all out and make several gift mitts for that special someone on your list. Set them out in the appropriate room as a surprise. Who wouldn’t love discovering thoughtful gifts all through the house? Each of these mitt ideas makes ideal hostess gifts too.
