Drop a knife? Get ready for a visitor.
Here are a few more superstitions:
If an eyelash falls out, put it on the back of the hand, make a wish and throw it over your shoulder. If it flies off the hand the wish will be granted.
If the bottom of your right foot itches, you are going to take a trip.
Pulling out a gray or white hair will cause ten more to grow in its place.
If you secretly put your toenail clippings in a glass of lemonade and make someone drink it, then that person is supposed to fall in love with you.
The dropping of a knife foretells the visit of a man friend in the near future.
Itchy Nose? Beware — you’re going to have a quarrel with someone.
Cross your fingers to make wish. Bad luck is trapped at the point where the two fingers meet so when we cross our fingers, we stop the bad luck from escaping and allow our wishes to come true.
God Bless You. During the sixth century, it was tradition to congratulate people who sneezed because people then believed that sneezing helped expel evil from their bodies. Years later, when a plague took over Europe, and people began sneezing violently, the Pope passed a law. Since sneezing meant that the person was going to die of plague, people were required to bless the person who sneezed.

Drop a fork someone’s coming hungery ,.. drop your dish towel a slouch will come visit,.. If the cows are laying the fish won’t bite, If the sun is shininng and it’s raining the devils behind the door beating his wife,..If your left eye itches your are going to be pleased and if the right eye itches your going to be made mad. if your right hand itches your going to shake hands with a stranger and if the left hand itches your going to handle money, don’t sweep the floor after dark and sweep the dirt out of the door it’s bad luck ,when driving down the road if a black cat runs across in front of you it’s badluck
Here’s one that works every time… stub your toe and a new workload is coming your way.
Stub and Break your toe and it means you’ll succeed and be recognized for your hard work.
I was always lead to believe if one accidently drop a knife and someone else picks it up their going to be a nice surprise coming their way.
Ya COVID 19
I’m very superstitious. IDK why. I always believed stuff like that for some reason.
If you see a red cardinal you will meet a male stranger.
From experience expect to host company.
small spoon a male friend
Large spoon a dominant male figure
Fork a group of people
Large fork family
knife a female friend
sharp knife a dominant female figure
I just drop my knife to the floor unintentionally but because the blade was made of ceramic it broke in two! It felt rather awkward. What shall i do?
A friendship will end with a dominant female friend.
A fork on its side fortells a death in the family.
When you drop a knife, it means you’ll have a fight( a knife, a fight). Also, if you sweep a person’s foot while sweeping the floor, they’ re going to jail. Don’t buy a yellow lighter; they’re bad luck.
White lighters are worse.
I keep dropping knives at work… What does that mean??
My mom has a superstition that I firmly believe as well. Its that if a small spider is dangling in front of you, and k Lt you see it, it is called the “money spider”. It means there is money coming in.
What does it mean when your palm itches and don’t say that you gotta wash your hands
Itchy left palm recieveing money.
Itchy right palm spending money.
its okay to wash hand to stop itch.
Very itchy lots of money will pass through your hands.
Less itchy is a lower amout of cash flow.
Sneeze on Monday, sneeze for danger,
Sneeze on Tuesday, kiss a stranger.
Sneeze on Wednesday, receive a letter,
Sneeze on Thursday, something better.
Sneeze on Friday, sneeze for sorrow,
Sneeze on Saturday, see your lover tomorrow.
Sneeze on Sunday your safety seek,
Or the devil will have you the rest of the week!
I always heard that if you shoes squeaked than you will come into money. If your nose itched than someone was thinking about you, and if the broom fell over than company was coming. To get rid of a wart you should rub a silver dollar on it and throw it over a fence and when someone picked it up your wort would go with them.
Buy a wart for a penny
Take a penny place it over the wart say to self i want to buy this wart.
Go outside and throw penny over your shoulder into the street.
I was taught that when the left palm was itchy, you’d recieve money within a couple of days and when the right palm was itchy, you’d be giving money away.
When you have an itchy nose, you’d kiss a fool.
When a knife was dropped, a man would be visiting soon, a spoon, was a woman and a fork is a couple.
Thanks for letting me share 🙂
Growing up I was always told that if your left palm itched, you would receive money.
Also, if your ears were burning someone was talking about you.
I always heard “Drop a spoon, company soon.”
I have always heard that if your right palm itches you will shake hands with a preacher and if the left one itches you will receive some money.
I was always to taught to Bless someone when they sneezed, but only because it was said your Heart stops beating or skips a beat when you sneeze! The nose itching, here in the South, was said to be; someone is coming to visit with a hole in their breeches!
Also heard the eyelash wish; the pull out a gray/white Hair & it will grow 10 more;, BUT never heard about the toe-nail clippings in any beverage?? If the person found out, it may cause them to throw-up!!! That’ a riot…. What about the itchy palm, meaning getting a monetary gift or something?
