Fill a clean spray bottle with 1 part water and 2 parts rubbing alcohol and store it in your car during the cold weather months. Spray it on your frosted windshield and windows on those chilly mornings to make scraping easier.
Rid Your Shoes of Mud!
Keep some disposable chopsticks handy in the mudroom to clean mud and dirt from the deep treads of your boots and shoes. Chopsticks are the perfect size to dig into the small grooves.
Timely Tick Tip
Next time you’re outside doing yard work, taking a walk (no matter how short), or hiking, take along a sticky tape lint roller and periodically roll it across your skin and clothes. Any ticks that have landed on you will be picked up.
Conserve Water
To conserve water, use a broom or rake to clean away leaves and debris from your driveway and patio rather than a hose. Using a hose can waste as much as 150 gallons of water. You’ll get the added benefit of getting some exercise as well!
Don’t Let Your Tent Get Moldy Or Musty
Before packing your tent up for the season, put some clean kitty litter in a sock and tie it in a knot. Put it in the tent. This will help keep mold and mustiness away.

Use 1 big bottle of blue mouthwash, 3 cups of Epsom salt, and 3 stale beers. Mix together until salt dissolves. Place in spray bottle. Spray perimeter where you are sitting. (Do not spray on yourself!)
