Preserving Cut Flowers

Mix half a quart of 7-Up or Sprite with an equal quantity of water and 1/2 tsp. chlorine bleach to make cut flowers last longer.

For best flavor, do not wash the strawberries until you are ready to eat or use them.

Spray weeds with a mixture of 5 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid per quart of water.

Planting lavender in your strawberry bed will improve the crop.
